These Early Access Terms ("Terms") supplement the Salt Service Terms and Privacy Policy. By joining the Salt waitlist, accepting an early-access invitation, or using Salt before general availability, you agree to these Terms.
1. Early access program
Salt may offer limited early access in waves. Access may be invite-only, time-limited, or feature-limited. We may change eligibility, timing, pricing, or availability at any time.
2. Beta nature of the Service
You understand that early-access Salt is a pre-release offering. It may not perform at the level of a commercially released product. Features may be incomplete, change without notice, or be removed. The Service may contain bugs, outages, or data-processing errors.
Salt may modify or discontinue early access at any time.
3. License during early access
Subject to these Terms and the Service Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use early-access Salt solely to evaluate the Service for your own business operations.
4. Feedback
If you provide suggestions, bug reports, or other feedback about early-access Salt, you grant Simcoe House Inc. a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that feedback without restriction. Feedback is non-confidential unless we agree otherwise in writing.
5. Confidentiality
During early access, we may share non-public product information with you. You agree not to disclose non-public Salt materials, unreleased features, or confidential program details to third parties without our written consent, except to your professional advisors bound by confidentiality.
Public information about Salt that we have already published does not count as confidential.
6. Connected accounts
Early-access Salt may request access to third-party accounts you connect. You are responsible for ensuring you have authority to connect those accounts and for reviewing any prepared actions before approval.
7. No professional advice
Salt may surface drafts, summaries, or recommendations. These are not legal, tax, accounting, or professional advice. You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on Salt outputs.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
EARLY-ACCESS SALT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. SIMCOE HOUSE INC. DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIMCOE HOUSE INC. WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM EARLY ACCESS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO EARLY ACCESS WILL NOT EXCEED FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50.00) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR EARLY ACCESS IN THE PRIOR TWELVE MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
10. Termination of early access
We may revoke early-access privileges at any time. You may stop participating at any time. Sections that should survive termination will survive, including feedback, confidentiality, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections apply.
